*Position: *Full-time two-year non-tenured track position as Lecturer
for the period September 2009 through May 2011. This is a nine-month
academic year position from September to May of each year.
*Description: The Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology is seeking a full-time non
tenure-track Lecturer in the area of *Housing Policy and Planning with
an emphasis on affordable housing in the United States. The person hired
will be expected to teach professional degree candidates in city
planning, advise masters-level students on their academic program and
masters? theses, and supervise field-based projects related to
affordable housing policy and planning. The Department seeks a dynamic
and creative teacher with a strong record as a practicing professional
or in policy research in affordable housing policy, planning or
development.
*Minimum Qualifications: *Masters, JD, or PhD or other advanced degree
in planning, public policy or related field; 5 to 10 years professional
or research experience in affordable housing planning or policy; prior
teaching experience in professional development or at a graduate level.
