2016 HERA Conference Highlights

Dr. Kenneth R. Tremblay, Jr. Endowment

Dr. Kenneth R. Tremblay, Jr. was a Professor in the Department of Design and Merchandising, at Colorado State University for 30 years. In 2015 Ken died peacefully at home after a yearlong battle with cancer. Ken was passionate about housing and research. During his career he had an exemplary teaching, research and service career. He authored nearly 300 publications, including many books. He enjoyed teaching and served as an advisor and mentor to close to 100 students seeking advanced degrees. He was active in the Housing Education and Research Association (HERA) and served in many roles, including president and editor of the Housing and Society journal. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of housing education and research, he received the HERA Distinguished Service Award. An endowment titled the Kenneth Tremblay Early Career Housing Award, has been created to continue Ken’s work.
